The Heintzman House

On November 8 and 9, 2008, you can see me in person at the Heintzman House as I sell my silk scarves and accessories. The Heintzman House Auxillary, will be putting on their annual Christmas Craft Show and Sale. The 2008 Heintzman House Craft Show and Sale will showcase the talents of local craft artisans and fine artists.

The historic 13-room mansion, built in 1817, will be adorned in its finest holiday décor and promises to meet all of your holiday shopping needs. Experience a wide variety of hand made items and fine arts - ceramics, mouth blown glass, jewelry, hand made wooden toys and teddy bears, children and ladies fashion wear, toys and floral silk designs.

Craft show patrons can enjoy lunch in the mansion's elegant main floor lounge believed to encompass the original abode brick home built prior to 1802 by the property's first owner, United Empire Loyalist, Anthony Hollingshead. Saved from demolition in the 1960's by the Town of Markham, the Heintzman House is a designated historic property protected under the Ontario Heritage Act.

All proceeds from the sale will go towards refurbishment of the house.

I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful event. As the time draws near, I will be sure to add more information to my blog.
